How we deliver the EYFS in our setting
All our staff access regular training to ensure that they are up to date with current teaching methods.
The EYFS covers 7 areas of learning:
3 prime areas:
Physical Development, Personal,Social and Emotional Development and Communication and Language. These areas are the core of learning.
The remaining 4 areas are Mathematics, Understanding the World, Literacy and Expressive Arts and Design.
We provide a variety of activities and a routine which promotes learning opportunities within these areas.
We promote positive behaviour and independence to develop self- confidence and self- esteem.
The Characteristics of Effective Learning are: Playing and Exploring, Active Learning and Thinking creatively and critically.
We have this in mind when planning all adult- led activities and the continuous provision within the setting.
